No problem — we can send the dish to an NZ Post collection point instead of a home address. Set up NZ Post's Collect my parcel service in a My NZ Post account. When you book, start typing the collection point's street address and pick it from the suggestions, then put your collection number in the Delivery notes box. NZ Post emails you when it arrives; bring that email and photo ID (an overseas passport is fine) to pick it up within 10 days.

It runs on the power bank built into the kit, which powers the dish for 4–5 hours before it needs recharging. Recharge it with the included wall or car charger (you can keep using the dish while it charges). Just point it at the sky with a clear view and you're online in minutes. Keep it out of direct sun, as it can overheat.

Typical download speeds range from 50–150 Mbps depending on your location and sky view. Latency is usually 20–40ms — more than enough for video calls, streaming, and remote work.

There are no data caps imposed by ConnectedKiwi on the rental itself. Standard Starlink fair-use policies may apply at very high usage.

We ship with NZ Post Overnight to any physical address in New Zealand. Orders placed before 10am on a weekday are posted the same day and delivered the next day. The flat $50 delivery fee covers shipping both ways — a pre-paid return label is included in the box.

Minor wear and tear is expected. Significant damage is charged at replacement cost (up to $700 for the dish). We recommend keeping it out of salt water and securing it against wind.

A $500 security bond applies to every rental, held against damage, loss, or late returns — full details are in the Rental Agreement you accept at checkout. It's released within 5 working days of the equipment coming back in good shape.

Yes — just email us at least 48 hours before your return date and we'll check availability. Extensions are billed at the same $29/day rate.

Yes! The battery falls under the limit of 100 Wh li-ion batteries but MUST be carried on and not placed in a checked bag.
