The Starlink Mini draws around 30W, so it works with most power banks (10,000+ mAh), 12V car outlets, or solar setups. Just point it at the sky with a clear view and you're online in minutes.
Typical download speeds range from 50–150 Mbps depending on your location and sky view. Latency is usually 20–40ms — more than enough for video calls, streaming, and remote work.
There are no data caps imposed by ConnectedKiwi on the rental itself. Standard Starlink fair-use policies may apply at very high usage.
We ship via NZ Courier Post to any physical address in New Zealand. Flat $50 delivery fee covers shipping both ways — a pre-paid return label is included in the box. Allow 1–2 business days for delivery.
Minor wear and tear is expected. Significant damage is charged at replacement cost (up to $700 for the dish). We recommend keeping it out of salt water and securing it against wind.
A $500 security bond applies to every rental, held against damage, loss, or late returns — full details are in the Rental Agreement you accept at checkout. It's released within 5 working days of the equipment coming back in good shape.
Yes — just email us at least 48 hours before your return date and we'll check availability. Extensions are billed at the same $50/day rate.
